Analisis SWOT

Analisa SWOT adalah sebuah analisa yang dicetuskan oleh Albert Humprey pada dasawarsa 1960-1970an. Analisa ini merupakan sebuah akronim dari huruf awalnya yaitu Strenghts (kekuatan), Weaknesses (kelemahan), Opportunity (kesempatan) dan Threat (Ancaman).

Metoda analisa SWOT bisa dianggap sbg metoda analisa yg paling dasar, yg berguna utk melihat suatu topik atau permasalahan dari 4 sisi yg berbeda. Hasil analisa biasanya adalah arahan/rekomendasi utk mempertahankan kekuatan dan menambah keuntungan  dari peluang yg ada, sambil mengurangi kekurangan dan menghindari ancaman.

Jika digunakan dgn benar, analisa SWOT akan membantu kita utk melihat sisi-sisi yg terlupakan atau tidak terlihat selama ini.

Analisa ini bersifat deskriptif dan terkadang akan sangat subjektif, karena bisa jadi dua orang yang menganalisis sebuah organisasi akan memandang berbeda ke empat bagian tersebut.

Hal ini diwajarkan, karena analisis SWOT adalah sebuah analisis yang akan memberikan output berupa arahan dan tidak memberikan solusi “ajaib  dalam sebuah permasalahan.

Strengh (kekuatan)

adalah situasi atau kondisi yang merupakan kekuatan dari organisasi atau program pada saat ini.

Strenght ini bersifat internal dari organisasi atau sebuah program.

Contoh :

1. Jumlah anggota yang lebih dari cukup (kuantitatif)
2. Berpengalaman dalam beberapa kegiatan (kualitatif)

Kenali kekurangan diri sendiri agar tidak sombong dan ketahui kelebihan diri sendiri agar tidak rendah diri. 

Weaknesses (Kelemahan)

Adalah kegiatan-kegiatan organisasi yang tidak berjalan dengan baik atau sumber daya yang dibutuhkan oleh organisasi tetapi tidak dimiliki oleh organisasi.

Kelemahan itu terkadang lebih mudah dilihat daripada sebuah kekuatan, namun ada beberapa hal yang menjadikan kelemahan itu tidak diberikan solusi yang tepat dikarenakan tidak dimaksimalkan kekuatan yang sudah ada.

Contoh :

1. Kurang terbinanya komunikasi antar anggota
2. Jaringan yang telah terbangun tidak dimaksimalkan oleh seluruh anggota

Opportunity (kesempatan)

Adalah faktor positif yang muncul dari lingkungan dan memberikan kesempatan bagi organisasi atau program kita untuk memanfaatkannya.

Opportunity tidak hanya berupa kebijakan atau peluang dalam hal mendapatkan modal berupa uang, akan tetapi bisa juga berupa respon masyarakat atau isu yang sedang diangkat.

Contoh :

1. Masyarakat sedang menyukai tentang hal-hal yang bersifat reboisasi lingkungan
2. Isu yang sedang diangkat merupakan isu yang sedang menjadi topic utama.

Threat (ancaman)

Adalah factor negative dari lingkungan yang memberikan hambatan bagi berkembangnya atau berjalannya sebuah organisasi dan program.

Ancaman ini adalah hal yang terkadang selalu terlewat dikarenakan banyak yang ingin mencoba untuk kontroversi atau out of stream (melawan arus) namun pada kenyataannya organisasi tersebut lebih banyak layu sebelum berkembang.

Contoh :

1. Masyarakat sudah jenuh dengan pilkada
2. Isu agama yang berupa ritual telah membuat masyarakat bosan.

Dalam contoh-contoh tersebut maka kita dapat melihat apa yang dapat kita lakukan dan kita gunakan, serta apa yang tidak dapat kita lakukan serta harus kita lengkapi.

Yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pembuatan analisis SWOT adalah :

1. SWOT analysis bisa sangat-sangat subjective. Bisa saja terjadi 2 orang menganalisa 1 perusahaan yg sama menghasilkan SWOT yg berbeda. Dgn demikian, hasil analisa SWOT hanya boleh digunakan sbg arahan dan bukan pemecahan masalah.
2. Pembuat analisa harus sangat-sangat realistis dalam menjabarkan kekuatan dan kelemahan internal. Kelemahan yg disembunyikan atau kekuatan yg tidak terjabarkan akan membuat arahan strategi menjadi tidak bisa digunakan
3. Analisa harus didasarkan atas kondisi yg sedang terjadi dan bukan situasi yg seharusnya terjadi
4. Hindari grey areas .
1. Hindari kerumitan yg tidak perlu dan analisa yg berlebihan. Buatlah analisa SWOT sesingkat dan sesederhana mungkin

SWOT untuk organisasi

Dalam sebuah organisasi biasanya setiap awal periode kepengurusan akan dilaksanakan pembuatan rencana program kerja, untuk itu biasanya akan dilakukan sebuah analisis kondisi mengenai suatu organisasi tersebut. Analisis SWOT biasanya dicantumkan dalam GBHK (Garis-garis Besar Haluan Kerja) yang menjelaskan tentang kondisi lingkungan organisasi baik kondisi internal maupun external.

Setelah dilakukan analisis SWOT maka jadi mengetahui kondisi nyata apa yang terjadi di lingkungan internal dan external organisas, maka dapat mulai membuat rencana program kerja yang sesuai dengan kondisi yang dibutuhkan dan mampu untuk dilaksanakan oleh pengurus tersebut.

Sebagai alat analisa, analisa SWOT berfungsi sebagai panduan pembuatan peta. Ketika telah berhasil membuat peta, langkah tidak boleh berhenti karena peta tidak menunjukkan kemana harus pergi, tetapi peta dapat menggambarkan banyak jalan yang dapat ditempuh jika ingin mencapai tujuan tertentu. Peta baru akan berguna jika tujuan telah ditetapkan. Dan yang menjadi tujuan dari sebuah organisasi adalah Visi dan Misi dari organisasi tersebut. Sehingga analisa SWOT dapat berjalan dengan baik apabila visi dan misi organisasi telah terbangun.
